Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server can receive routine technical details about the visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic in aggregate, including popular pages and common exit points. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data

- Maintaining reliable and timely site operation
- Finding and correcting technical faults

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Palo Pinto County guidance identifies official sources such as the sheriff, court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Government disclosure follows the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, while DPS criminal-history access and dissemination are governed by Government Code Chapter 411. Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through them is governed by each partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. Partners control their retention and disclosure practices, so review their terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to county offices, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy terms govern. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Advertising networks that place content on these pages
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a query a visitor submits
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17 and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide additional rights. Subject to legal limits, a user can:
